Diving? What diving?

The plan was to head down to St Leonards Pier after attending a noon wedding in Melbourne. I thought we would get into the water by 3pm. Weather was a little windy but good land temperature of 23 degrees. Greg felt it would be 4pm... guess what? He was right.

The day started with me meddling with the alarm clock the night before and (apparently) caused Greg to oversleep and thus din't have time to pack his scuba gear. Well, i did all my gear and our common stuff the night before!! So instead of coming back from the wedding and packing our car, we had to spend another say 30min - 45mins at home before heading off.

No worries - we got to the St Leonards Pier at 4pm. Yup, there was wind and the seas was choppy... I looked at the waves crashing on the pier pylons then looked at the water... vis din't look good at all. We looked at each other and decided to try again the next morning, either at the same pier or Cottage By the Sea reef...

We travelled to Mick's place at Portarlington as arranged and checked out the weather forecast and tides for Sunday. The winds were going to be through the roof and worst than Saturday. Looked at each other again and I said "Sleep in and a good breakfast?" Greg's reply was "Sounds goooddd."

And so we had a weekend at Portarlington visiting Mick and Tanch which was lovely! And came home with our dry diving gear. :)

Until next time, our diving adventures continues...
